PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS
What is a Neuropsychological Evaluation?
At MS Psychology Center, we conduct detailed evaluations to understand how your brain processes information, controls behavior, and regulates emotions. We use scientific techniques to explore cognitive skills, memory, attention, and other key functions for both adults and children.

We USE the Most Powerful and Scientifically Validated Tools
Depending on the purpose of the evaluation, our professional will select the most appropriate tests for you. We have a battery of over 100 specific psychological tests, designed to address a wide range of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects. These evaluations have been carefully chosen for their effectiveness, scientific rigor, and international relevance, allowing us to tailor our assessments to your unique needs. Whether you’re looking to evaluate intellectual abilities, emotional skills, specific cognitive functions, or behavioral issues, our extensive range of tests enables us to provide a holistic and detailed view of your neuropsychological and psychological health.
For children, the process includes administering questionnaires and evaluations not only to the child but also to important contexts such as school and family. This allows us to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the child’s environment and the factors influencing their well-being, ensuring a thorough evaluation and more precise recommendations.

The Step-by-Step Process of Psychological Evaluation:
-
Initial Consultation:
The process begins with an initial consultation. For adults, the interview is conducted directly with them to understand their concerns and background. For minors, the interview is with parents or guardians. At this stage, we select the appropriate tests and questionnaires based on the reason for the evaluation and, for adults, we might send you a questionnaire to complete at home before the next session.
-
Application of Tests:
In subsequent sessions, we apply specific tests and questionnaires tailored to each person. For children, additional evaluations are conducted in important contexts such as school and family. The cost of evaluation sessions is the same as for therapy sessions.
-
Number of Sessions:
Generally, 2-3 sessions are needed for adults and 4-6 for children, though the exact number may vary depending on the individual.
-
Analysis of Results:
After completing the tests, we analyze the results to form a clear view of psychological and neuropsychological functioning.
-
Report Preparation:
We create a detailed report that includes findings and practical recommendations. This report provides suggestions for both the educational environment and the home. Due to the report’s extensive length and the required precision and detail, preparation typically takes between 2 weeks and a month, depending on the workload. The cost of the report is €250.
-
Review of Results:
Finally, we review the report results with you and discuss the next steps, ensuring you fully understand the information and recommendations provided.

The Purpose of Our Assessment Reports:

Our assessment reports play a crucial role in providing you with valuable and detailed information about various aspects of cognitive, emotional, and psychological functioning in both children and adults. These reports serve multiple purposes, including:
-
Treatment and Therapy Planning: The reports offer a comprehensive and accurate view of your strengths and areas for improvement. This allows for the design of a highly personalized and effective treatment plan or therapy to address your specific challenges.
-
Adaptations in the Educational Environment: In the case of assessments targeting children and adolescents, the reports provide essential information for parents, educators, and school professionals. These reports can support the implementation of curriculum adaptations and teaching strategies that align with their cognitive and learning needs.
-
Accurate Diagnoses: Our reports can provide clear and well-founded diagnoses in cases where there are suspicions of neuropsychological, emotional, or learning disorders. An accurate diagnosis is the first step in appropriately addressing and managing any challenges you may face.
-
Support for Medical Decisions: In collaboration with medical professionals, the reports can be a valuable resource for planning medical treatments, such as psychiatric medication or other interventions that may be necessary for neuropsychological and emotional well-being.
-
Self-Awareness and Empowerment: By understanding your strengths and areas for improvement through the reports, you can develop greater self-awareness and a better understanding of how your cognitive and emotional processes work. This empowers you to make informed decisions and actively engage in your own growth and change process.
-
Communication with Professionals: The reports also facilitate communication among different mental health and educational professionals involved in your care. This ensures a shared understanding of your needs and goals, leading to more cohesive and effective care.
In summary, our assessment reports act as detailed guides that help you better understand your own cognitive and emotional functioning or that of your children. Additionally, they are essential tools for designing therapeutic strategies, educational adaptations, and medical decision-making, with the aim of improving well-being, quality of life, and performance.
